Dr. Kshama Fernandes
Dr Kshama Fernandes has been the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of IFMR Capital Finance Private Limited since August 1, 2012 and serves as its Managing Director and Senior Partner. Dr. Fernandes served as the Chief Risk Officer and Head of Risk Management at IFMR Capital Finance Private Limited. Prior to joining IFMR Capital, she was Professor and Head of Finance at Goa Institute of Management. She has worked on consulting assignments for the World Bank, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, and NSEIT. She developed the SEBI mandated certification programme for derivatives for the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and NCDEX. Dr. Fernandes is a Director of IFMR Investment Managers Private Limited. She has extensive experience across financial advisory, consulting, and academia.
Ms. Linda Broekhuizen
Linda Broekhuizen is FMO’s Chief Investment Officer since 2014. In her role, she is responsible for an investment portfolio of over EUR 9.2 billion. FMO is one of the largest bilateral private sector development banks worldwide and has fully integrated environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) into every aspect of its business.
Linda Broekhuizen started her career at Fortis Bank in the Financial Institutions team for Latin America. In 2000 she started working at FMO as an Investment Officer, where she continued her career as Manager of Sustainability Development. She initiated the fundamental change from perceiving Environmental, Social and Governance aspects as a risk tools to being a real business case. Later on she became the first Manager of Agribusiness, from which she moved on to becoming Director of Financial Institutions, FMO’s largest sector focused department.
Linda Broekhuizen has a Master Degree in International Relations and in Business Administration. In 2010 she finalized a postgraduate program on Corporate Social Responsibility Management. She is member of the Supervisory Board of the Netherlands Council for Trade promotion (NCH) and member of the Appeal Board Disciplinary Banks.

As the Minister for Power he transformed the Indian power sector by introducing the landmark Electricity Act (2001). He was chosen to Chair the Task Force for Interlinking of Rivers.Known for his passion for environment conservation, he also held the position of Minister for Environment and Forests. He was also the Minister for Chemical and Fertilizers and Ministerfor Industries.
In his early career, he was the Chairman and Director of Saraswat Bank, and was also
appointed as the Chairman of Maharashtra State Finance Commission. He owned a Chartered Accountancy firm before joining politics in 1996.
Mr. Prabhu is known as a global visionary and renowned though leader. He has travelled to over
100 countries and engaged with various international forums. He featured among the top three Indian leaders of the future by Asia Week magazine, Hong Kong in its cover story "Giant on the Move.”
He has been actively involved with a large number of social, cultural and Co-operative organizations. He is the Chairperson of Manav Sadhan Vikas Sanstha, an NGO working towards empowerment of people.

Mr. Guilaume Barberousse
Guillaume Barberousse started his career as an M&A professional at BNP Paribas, more specifically in charge of transactions in agribusiness, media and telecommunication. He subsequently took the position of valuation manager within the mergers and acquisitions consultancy department.
In 2007, Guillaume joined Proparco, AFD’s subsidiary dedicated to the private sector, as an investment officer within the risk and portfolio department prior to being appointed deputy head of the corporate department with a focus on agribusiness.
From 2013 to 2016, Guillaume was posted in Istanbul as Proparco’s regional representative for Turkey, Caucasus & Middle East.
In 2016, Guillaume was appointed head of Proparco’s Banking and Capital Markets Department in Paris.
Guillaume is an engineer in agriculture and holds a masters’ degree in finance from ESCP Europe.
Mr. Nishant Kumar
Nishant Kumar is Executive Director (Asia) at GuarantCo's Singapore office where he is responsible for origination and execution of transactions in South and South-East Asia. Prior to GuarantCo, Nishant worked as M&A/Corporate Finance banker in mid-market space and led origination and execution of infrastructure, natural resources, agriculture, F&B and consumer transactions in South East Asia and India. Nishant has also worked with a prominent renewable energy fund within their principal investments team in Hong Kong and Singapore undertaking investments in clean energy projects in SE Asia and India. Nishant started his career with KBC Bank N.V. in Infrastructure project finance division in Hong Kong.
Nishant has an MBA from University of Hong Kong & London Business School programme and Bachelor of Technology in Mining Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, BHU (Varanasi).

Mr. Ashishkumar Chauhan

Ashish is the MD & CEO of BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange), the first stock exchange of Asia. He is one of the founders of India's National Stock Exchange (“NSE”) where he worked from 1992 to 2000. He is best known as the father of modern financial derivatives in India due to his work at NSE. He was instrumental in setting up India’s first fully automated screen based trading system and first commercial satellite communications network. He also created several path breaking frameworks including Nifty index, NSE certifications in financial markets etc.
From 2000 to 2009, he worked as the President and Chief Information Officer of Reliance group and was also the CEO of the cricket team Mumbai Indians in its formative years. He also handled additional responsibilities as the Head, Corporate Communications for Reliance Group from 2005 – 2006.
He joined BSE as Deputy CEO in 2009 and was appointed as CEO in 2012. He is credited with reviving BSE including making it the fastest Exchange in the World with less than 6 microseconds response time, introduction of Mobile Trading first time in India, state of the art online real time surveillance system, introduction of several market leading products like SME, Currencies, Mutual Funds, Corporate Bonds distribution, Offer for Sale, Offer to buy etc. He was also instrumental in setting up India’s First International Exchange “India International Exchange”, which was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi in January 2017 at Gandhinagar, Gift City. He has successfully completed the IPO of BSE which was pending for over 10 years. BSE IPO was oversubscribed 51 times with close to 12 lakh applications in January 2017.
He holds a B Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Bombay and a PGDM from IIM Kolkata. He is a Distinguished Visiting professor at Ryerson University, Toronto, Canada.
Mr. Santhosh Jayaram
Santhosh is a partner at KPMG in India, leading the Climate Change and Sustainability practice, which works with private sector companies, PSUs, State Governments, central governments and Developmental agencies. He has led the team to publish the world’s first sustainability profit and loss statement. Santhosh is a renowned specialist in extra-financial risk assessment, responsible investment, climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies, climate finance, sustainability reporting, Integrated reporting and Impact evaluations. He has been involved with 6 green bonds issued in India. He has also played an instrumental advisory role in developing NAMA projects for the Governments of Sri Lanka and Bhutan.
He has held key positions in the development of G4 guidelines at Global Reporting Initiative, Netherlands in 2012, and was a Standards Committee member for the development of AA1000SES standard at AccountAbility, UK in 2011 and was the Director of the board at Consortium of Humanitarian Agencies, Sri Lanka from 2006 to 2008.
He is an alumnus of University of California – Berkeley Campus and ISB – Hyderabad through the executive education program. He holds a Master of Technology in Environmental Science and Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from Calicut University, India.

Ms. Ayaan Adam
Ms. Ayaan Adam is the Director of Private Sector Facility at the Green Climate Fund. The PSF invests in private sector entities and projects that address climate change in developing countries and emerging markets. Since 2014, Ayaan has been serving as an independent senior advisor to a number of leading sustainable investment institutions, including Oikocredit International.
In addition to serving as Managing Director of Africa Funds at UK-based CDC Group Plc, she spent 17 years at the International Finance Corporation where her last role was Chief Investment Officer- Head of Financial Institutions, South Asia based in Mumbai, India.

Her well-rounded global experience also spans specializations in triple bottom-line accounting, ESG performance, and CSR. She is also involved in climate action and advocacy efforts in India and at the global stage.
A prominent speaker at influential national and international platforms such as the UN General Assembly and G20 amongst others, Namita has been associated with key global institutions such as the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, International Finance Corporation and the United Nations, through her active role in mainstreaming climate action and green economics, globally.

Mr. Arjun Guha
Arjun Guha is a renewable Energy Specialist with KFW, Germany′s development bank. For the last 6 years with KFW, he has been working on financing energy projects in India including solar rooftops, solar parks and energy efficiency measures across the power system.
He is co-lead for the programming and implementation of the Indo-German Solar Partnership through which Germany has committed 1 Billion Euros through KFW to support India’s solar energy program.
In the past, he was with SunEdison Solar as the global program manager for reducing the cost of solar energy delivery.
He earned his Electrical Engineering degree from Purdue University, USA and an MBA in Finance from the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.
Mr. Anshul Gupta
Anshul Gupta works in Product Development Vertical of the structuring desk at IFMR Capital. He has played a leading role in developing new products at IFMRC including PAR Mosec and Pooled Loan Issuance . Prior to joining IFMR Capital he was working with Deutsche Bank in Structured Finance Vertical of Global Transaction Banking. He completed his B-Tech from IIT Roorkee in 2012 and has completed all the three levels of CFA and level one of FRM.
Mr. Ravi Saraogi
Ravi Saraogi is currently the Investment Strategist at IFMR Investments. He has played a key role in IFMR Investments’ growth as a specialized asset manager, primarily focusing on fund raising, product design and risk management. IFMR Investments manages five alternative investment funds with a diverse investor base and has won awards for innovation in design and use of structured finance.
Ravi was previously working in the institutional equities research team at IIFL Capital servicing large domestic and foreign institutional investors, specialising in economic and financial research for the Indian markets. Prior to IIFL Capital, he worked with J.P. Morgan India, in their Emerging Markets Strategy team, primarily focusing on the Asia Pacific region. He has also worked at HSBC India’s Analytics division with experience in model building and data analytics. Ravi writes for leading media outlets on matters relating to tax, structuring and economy. He is a CFA® charterholder from the CFA Institute, US.
Mr. Xavier Echasseriau
Xavier Echasseriau started his career as a junior analyst at Société Générale in France, where he covered a portfolio of European and Asian global and investment banks, prior to joining AFD Group, France’s bilateral international co-operation operator. He was first posted in French Guiana, where he contributed to launching a guarantee fund dedicated to SMEs. From 2001 to 2008, he held several positions within AFD’s central banking unit, successively in Paris where he took part in overhauling the monetary policy for the French territories of the South Pacific, then in New Caledonia as head of the credit department, and then in Reunion as head of the corporate department, more specifically in charge of mediating between corporates and banks during the financial crisis. From 2009 to 2013, he was posted in India as a programme officer for South Asia and as an attaché for international development to the Embassy of France in New Delhi, where he structured and implemented various projects in the field of renewable energy and energy efficiency. Xavier currently serves as a senior investment officer within Proparco’s Banking and Capital Markets Department in Paris where he has been in charge of investments in the field of green finance and sustainable development. Xavier holds a masters’ degree in management and business administration and a post graduate degree in finance from the University of Paris.

Mr. Piyush Mathur is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Simpa Networks, an award-winning energy access company, using innovative packaged finance models to make energy accessible and affordable for the energy-poor households in rural India. Under Mr Mathur’s leadership, Simpa has employed innovative financing structures to make solar energy affordable and accessible to rural energy-poor households and shops in rural India. The path-breaking model established by Simpa marrying Fintech with Cleantech, is not only opening up possibilities for the entire off-grid sector in India, but also changing the lives of people.
Mr Mathur is a private equity and corporate finance professional with over 15 years’ experience in Investments, Cross-Border M&A and Capital Raisings. Immediately before Simpa, Mr Mathur was a Director at Kleinwort Benson Bank in London where he established and led the Principal Investments business. During this time, Mr Mathur led investments in the renewable energy space ranging from distributed micro power to utility-scale solar mini-grids in Europe. Mr Mathur also invested in emerging market development businesses e.g. a sustainable agro-forestry and fisheries business in West Africa, demonstrating how commercial investments can be structured for developmental businesses operating in high country-risk regions.
Earlier, Mr Mathur was a partner in a private equity firm based out of London, where he originated, invested and managed a number of investments in high-growth cleantech and TMT businesses, several of which like Envirofone in UK established themselves as category leaders. Prior to that, Mr Mathur was at KPMG where he advised global corporations like Cisco and Cemex on acquisitions in US, Europe and India. He has also worked in Strategy Consulting with Marakon Associates where he advised the Board of BP on reconfiguring their Alternative Energy portfolio to attract external capital. Mr Mathur is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has received MBA from London Business School.
Mr. Avnish Misra
Mr. Avnish Misra is the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) of Simpa Networks, an award-winning energy access company, using innovative packaged finance models to make energy accessible and affordable for the energy-poor households in rural India.
Mr. Misra is a private equity and corporate finance professional with over 17 years’ experience in Strategic Business Planning, P&L Management, Internal Control & Governance, Debt raise etc. Immediately before Simpa, Mr. Misra was Portfolio Finance Director at Berkeley Energy, a fund manager engaged in setting up renewable energy plants in Asia and Africa. During this time, Mr. Misra managed and established investments in India and Philippines.
Earlier, Mr. Misra has supported an Oil & Gas exploration company in its AIM listing journey. Prior to that Mr. Misra worked in Assurance Advisory at PwC & EY India.
